Nice to Lidl You.
A recruitment event that turned one of the oldest cinemas in Europe into the epicenter of Lidl energy.

Challenge
How do you reach candidates in an ever more competitive job market?
The job market was becoming increasingly competitive, and candidates – used to another post, offer or ad scrolling past them online – expected something more than one more message in their feed. Lidl Polska needed a format that would engage them personally, in a way they'd actually remember.
Instead of another online campaign, we proposed a trip to the cinema. We left the office to meet face to face with people who, until then, only knew Lidl through its social media channels.
Idea
A job fair worth watching.
In one of the oldest cinemas in Europe, we combined presentations from Lidl experts and panel discussions with dedicated rooms where recruiters were waiting for candidates. Thanks to a live stream on YouTube, people from across Poland could join the event and the recruitment process without leaving home.
What mattered most to us throughout the project was something no algorithm can replace – personal recruitment built on real relationships and conversation. At a time when recruitment communication increasingly relies on automated, algorithm-driven content, that directness and genuine human contact became Lidl's real competitive edge in the job market.
Execution
On site, candidates could get their CVs reviewed and matched to specific openings in one-on-one conversations with recruiters. For people outside Poznań, we set up an online consultation option, so distance from the venue was never a barrier – and the YouTube livestream meant anyone in Poland could follow the event and take part in recruitment from wherever they were.
