A shared character.
An employer branding campaign that showed what truly connects Volvo Group employees at every level.

Challenge
How to translate a company's values into a consistent language of communication?
Starting our partnership with Volvo Group, our task was to translate the EVP and the everyday values the company is built on into a consistent communication language and a distinctive form of expression.
The campaign had to answer internal and external needs at the same time – its main goal was to create consistent communication of the values that guide not only the employer but, above all, the employees themselves, every day. We built the whole plan around five pillars of value inseparable from how Volvo Group operates.
We looked for what connects employees at every level – not just the brand's roots, which shape the employer's approach, but above all the uniqueness of the people themselves, how they work, and the shared goal they pursue.
Idea
#SharedCharacter, every day.
We showed the uniqueness of Volvo as an employer and of its employees – how much connects them and how important their shared goal is to them. We built the whole campaign plan around five pillars of the company's values.
Being yourself, meaning diversity; a healthy mind in a healthy body, meaning safety and a healthy lifestyle; strength is teamwork, meaning a friendly, collaborative work environment; excellence is continuous growth, meaning career and personal development; and life is your choice, meaning work-life balance.
Execution
The first stage was developing the key visual and running the photo shoot behind it, then translating the results into internal communication materials – articles, animations, leaflets and posters.
The internal campaign ran for five months, with each one communicating and promoting another of Volvo Group's five pillars.
